Community Relations

Esencia is a sustainability-focused, design-forward coastal community planned in the municipality of Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico – the official “Capital of Tourism in Puerto Rico”. The plan is based on two and a half years of thorough scientific studies and valuable input from different sectors of the local community.

Our guiding principles and values focus on:

  • Creating connected communities
  • Delivering commanding views
  • Preserving drainage corridors
  • Protecting steep terrains
  • Preserving mangroves and wetlands
  • Increasing coastal resiliency

Esencia values relationships based on mutual respect, open communication and transparency. We aim to support informed ideas and narratives based on facts, not on disinformation.
